I've been riding for 2 1/2 months and towards the end of a long ride, around 6 hours, my wrists will be killing me. When I'm on the highway I put my chest down on my tank bag and relax. The only thing with that is my chest will hurt a little after awhile. Just don't fall asleep!! My buddy did once, for a couple seconds.

I'm on a computer all day long and I couldn't get my mouse hand positioned right to relieve the pain. So I got a DynaBee that my dad had.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynabee.

I've seen them at the sharper Image. They'll tire your arms out quick, but it helped to relieve the wrist pain. They're a pain in the ass sometimes to get started, but some come with a pull string and a wrist strap so it doesn't go flying out of your hand.

Well, first, riding 4-6 hours on a sportbike is a heck of a long ride. You're going to hurt a little bit, even if you are used to it.

However, your wrists shouldn't hurt at all. You should never really be resting your weight on your wrists. Ride with the balls of your feet on the pegs, except when shifting or using the rear brake. This will allow you to support your body a little more with your legs. Also, use your lower back and your abs to support your torso, so it takes the weight off your hands and wrists. Besides reducing the discomfort you're currently experiencing, it will give you greater control over the bike.

Once you've mastered this, your wrists will very rarely ever be sore again, at least from riding. :jerkit :lol Case in point, I rode about 350 miles last weekend, and had no trouble with my wrists at all. My knees, ass and lower back were a little sore, but no wrist pain at all.

13 hours? Yeah, you're gonna hurt, no two ways about it. Wrists and hands still shouldn't be a part of the pain though, but that's already been covered.

You have any more pics of your bike? Looks like custom paint, from the avatar.

Easy fix:

1. Buy a stomp grip for the tank, hold on with your knees.

2. Bend your elbows, and keep the pressure off of your wrists.

Usually it's my a$$ that hurts after 3-4 hours on the bike, not my wrists.

Bend your elbows and keep your wrists as straight as possible. Otherwise, do what the others say.

I've taken a 7 hour ride and the only that was sore were my legs.

When it's safe to do so, try riding with just your throttle hand. When the bike turns, you'll know that there's too much weight on your hands. Once you're going straight add your left hand with the same amount of weight that's on your right hand (none) and you're good to go.

Keep practicing that that you'll be pain free in no time.

My wrists hurt for the first few months of riding then it just seemed to go away. I try not to put any weight forward into my hands. On long highway rides I usually rest my elbows on my knees, I have long legs so I can do that.

Now I do get raging lower back pain after 3+ hours. So I usually take a break after an hour or so. I'm only 24 too, I can't imagine riding my r6 at like 40 lol

Either your hand position is wrong or riding position is wrong. You are probably leaning on the handle bars with your arms. Use your legs and grip the tank and tighten your stomach muscles to keep your torso straight. Loosen your hand grip on the handle bars. You should have a loose hand grip on the handles. Not too loose. The front should keep straight off of the speed of the bike, your hands are there for a little support. You might also want to adjust your brake and clutch levers for better comfort. Just keep in mind that your riding position is going to change depending on how fast you go. The slower you go you may just instinctively start leaning on your arms. The faster you go you put you stomach to the tank and lean forward putting your center of gravity down the center of the bike.

If I wrong there is a shit load of info on the net or some riding books at the local book store. Check out sportrider.com the rider tips section or purchase the book Total Control.
