ok, i sprayed the underside of my windscreen when i first got my bike. how can i take the spray off without damaging the screen to badly.

last minute type thing, i have track day this weekend, and want to rig up a camera mount so i dont have time to track one down. plus my dealer sucks ass and wont buy from him. they never have anything anyways.

 

I'm with DrDover, your going to have to get another one.

Theres nothing I can think of that will get paint off without stuffing up your windscreen. You might be able to get the black off but you probably won't be able to see through it which defeats the purpose.

Its funny you say this as I only recently posted somewhere to someone , don't know if was here or on another forum, not to paint there windscreen as they might want to mount a camera oneday. I told them to get another one off ebay to paint instead.

 

My buddy did the same thing. He got the black paint off for the most part but it looked like shit.

 

I'd check ebay and try to get one asap. I painted just the lower part of my windscreen and I think it looks great.

 

thanks for all the replies. i always figured i would get a ZG at some point. havent made it to get one yet. guess i will do some searching tomorrow.

 

just take the screen off for the track day...no biggy. I dont think you are going to get all tucked in going 180 mph are u?

 

That's why I painted the screen from my first one and kept the good one wrapped up in a blanket. So whenever I finally get a camera mount, I can just switch out my screens.

 

and whatever you do, dont go trying to buy a brand new oem screen from your dealer...it will be very expensive....very!

 

the guy i bought my track bike from painted a bit of the screen. i used brake fluid to get rid of the paint. it worked but the screen is a little cloudy

WoW! to bad I didn't see this thread before I threw my stocker in the trash after painting it. I tried everything to remove the paint and the thing looked like ass when i got all the paint off. Threw it in the trash and bought a ZG/DB.
