i was talkign to a friend of mine that works at a shop and somehow we got talkign about an article in some motorcycle magazine about how there was no difference between running 87 octane and 91 octane. i always thought that because of the high compression ratio that the bike would need a higher octane to fire properly, but i wasnt sure if what he said is right so i thought id ask you guys. i had to run 91 in my car so thought i would need to run it in a high performace bike engine.

Unless you have certain mods done you will get nothing out of higher octane fuel. Most of the time... you can do timing tricks for a temp. hp boost. But thats a horse of another color.
