My 01 stator is done for and my friend has a spare 04 stator he'll give me. Anyone know if the 04 will work on my 01?

im going to say no, only because I remember somewhere that they redesigned it so that it was smaller and lighter.
Also its an AC generator, you dont know what frequency its designed to be run at.
Just stick with the original part.
