:) Allright chaps, need some help here....

I recently did the 2001 LED undertray conversion and have since noticed that if the bike stalls "in gear" i have to put in back into neutral to start it again !?

When it stalls i can hear under the seat, one of the relay's clicking, could this be something to do with the side stand switch ???? as normally the bike only won't start in gear if the side stand is down...

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JT,

There are 2 safety cutouts which will prevent the bike from starting.

The sidestand switch, and the clutch lever switch.

Obviously the sidestand switch (which works with the neutral indicator) will prevent you starting the bike in gear and with the sidestand down. It will also cut the ignition if you put the stand down while the bike is in gear.

The clutch switch prevents you starting the bike in gear unless the clutch is pulled in or the bike is in neutral.

I can't see how fitting the led undertail would have affected this though? :umm

Chunk !!! you sir are a ledgend :thumbup

Jumpered the switch under the clutch lever last night and hey-ho happy christmas the fucker now starts in-gear (with the clutch in of course)

Took off the switch and stripped and cleaned it, re-assembled and now it works a treat. (sorry too tight to just go by another one from yamaha)

I owe you a :beermug
