Summertime gear?

Can anybody recommend a decent summertime jacket that wouldn't be as thick as the normal riding jacket and would offer some degree of crash protection?

I know this may sound silly but I wear a fox racing armor coat. Its like nylon with armor attached to it (I think its for dirt bikes but I could be wrong). Itll help you on your low speed cruising days. When I get home Ill snap a pic and show ya!
every manufacturer who makes jackets makes perforated leather jackets for summer riding.
What about mesh?
perf leather > mesh. I wear non -perf gear year round.

i wear a perf leather at nights and a ti-max mesh in the day light.
Summertime gear? Shorts and a T-shirt... haha

Nah, a mesh jacket is what I wear, it has a removable inner liner... gets hot but yeah, that is okay.

Any pics of the ti-max?
I wear Teknic Chicane perforated leather jacket for those 70+ degrees days. And I wear a Joe Rocket Phoenix mesh jacket for those 85+ degree temps.
Shift has a perforated poly/mesh jacket called Airborne. I have a couple of Shift jackets and they are light and made nice. The Airborne jacket has the hard armor vs JR Phoenix thick foam armor. But Shift's jackets do not come with a foam back protector. Don't matter to me because I already have a better back protector.

Get A* S-MX/Bionic Jacket and wear something over it.

that timax looks pretty hot
Leather all year round. sweat wipes off road rash doesn't
Queue the thread about the guy with the mesh jacket melted to his flesh.

Go for perforated Leather. if you have to, leave the neck partly unzipped. Don't skimp on gloves either. A wreck will happen when you least expect it.
A* smx airflo. Lighter than my stunt jacket.

Oh yeah, I remember seeing that pic. It wasn't nice. Some riders don't wear mesh because of that. That's why I rarely wear my JR Phoenix jacket anymore unless I absolutely have to.
does anybody have a link to said picture?
