My bike was running bad, but after changing the plugs it seems to be fine, but my question is, what could have fouled the plugs in the first place?

Last winter, I was rolling the bike out of the garage and idling it for a few minutes til it was warmed up, then putting the bike away without riding it, could this have caused the fouling?

Could it be the coils? I heard coils either work or don't work at all, no in between.

yes, that could be it...

when you ride the bike around, the higher rpms clean the plugs off... so you just warmed it up, then shut it off, leaving all that junk on the plugs.
