i just got my tire changed at a ducati shop yesterday. now i'm worried about my rear wheel being misaligned. what are the signs of a poorly alighned wheel? by brother was driving his suv behind me and he said that he thought he heard a scraping noise....i can't be sure cuz' my exhaust was probably louder than that....any signs that i should be aware of? what does a badly alighned wheel cause ?

thanks for any input

just take a ruler and measure it up. I do it from the end of the block the axle runs through to the end of the swing arm. Or there's the string method, which I don't even understand.

Not sure what it does but it's kind of like riding on a tire lilke this: / (a bit extreme.)
Hey clique, I have a diagram saved on my computer that could help you out. I could attach it to an e-mail if you have an address. I was going to send it to you in the private message but I don't know how to attach it that way.

Hey clique, I am having trouble getting that diagram to attach in an e-mail. I will keep trying and get it to you as soon as I can. Sorry about that. It attaches but when I send it it comes up blank with a little red x in a box in the upper left corner. I tried e-mailing it to myself last night before you had replied.
Easy

Put the bike in a rear stand or use the center stand if equipped . Start the bike and put in first gear . As the wheel is turning does the chain "walk" from one side of the sprocket to the other ? Adjust until the chain remains perfectly in the center of the sprockets teeth .....
