i just called my local Yamaha dealer about it and i kinda got mixed feelings about the answer...

he said the front will work, but the rear is different... then he went on to say that you cant buy aftermarket sprockets for the 03-05 and that you have to buy Yamaha parts

so, even though he says it wont fit, it sounds like he doesnt know what the hell he's talking about with the 2nd part of his comment.

front is the same i believe the rear is what is different, so you cant use a rear 03-05 sprocket on anything <03... 520 is size so itll fit all 520 sprockets... dealer didnt know shit, like a lot of them...

Tyrant... if you still want the set up, ill sell ya the front sprocket and chain for $80+shipping. then all you have to buy is a 520 rear sprocket and youre set.

ill just hang on to the rear sprocket for later.

a 520 pitch chain will fit all 520 sprockets.

03+ sprockets will not fit 99-02 bikes, 99-02 sprockets will not fit 03+ bikes.

Simple. :D

Well they will, you just need to use the right kush drive :wink

and I'm pretty sure the fronts are interchangable.
