Baking in traffic is sorta part of the game. And to be honest, if it's 90+ degrees, you're gonna be hot regardless. However, once you start moving, my AStars SMX AirFlo jacket vents VERY well. I wear it every time I ride on the street.
Once I get moving in my smx it just makes my sweat colder, but not dryer lol.CephasGT said:Baking in traffic is sorta part of the game. Isn't the SMX AirFlo part leather/part mesh? Just curious 'cause I decided against that jacket for that very reason. Was I mistaken?CephasGT said:I don't trust mesh at all. Seen too many people get REALLY messed up in 45 mph (or less) accidents wearing mesh gear. Just get leather and tough it out, it's not that bad.
I wear Under Armour under my leather jacket too!!!! Just suck it up and drive on...just remember to hydrate whenever you stop....a little sweat never hurts....road rash does!!!!:thumbupLonebrave said:Under Armour! I wear it nearly every day in the warmer months, riding or not. Any breeze will cool you down. It doesn't help when sitting still, unless your jacket vents really well, but once you get moving, any air will cool you right off.
Well, sort of. The AirFlo does have a kind of mesh on the inside of the sleeves, but all of the surfaces that would contact the ground in a crash are 1.1mm leather. Cever wrecked in his and the mesh ripped a little, but it still did its job, and the leather was in the right places. I was speaking more of all mesh jackets, like JR's Phoenix.Lonebrave said:Isn't the SMX AirFlo part leather/part mesh? Just curious 'cause I decided against that jacket for that very reason.
