Hi everyone. I ride an '04 R1 and right now I'm looking into adding to my garage with an '06 R6.

I'm currently debating whether I should make the R6 a dedicated track bike or make the R6 my street bike and turbo the R1 (lol). Either way, I'm looking to pick up an R6 in the next week or two - anyone in CA get a better price than $10,200 OTD?

Ah, finally someone who understands that OTD prices will vary from state to state. I'm really sick of hearing from people in frikkin Michigan or Delaware that $9300 OTD was a really bad price for my 2005 R6 that I bought in April of 2005. It's fucking delaware, not california!! haha...ok, I'm done ranting.

I say make the R6 a track bike AND turbo the R1 :thumbup I'm scared of my stock R6, I couldn't even imagine a turbocharged R1. Do it do it!! :hyper

*edit*

oh yea, and WELCOME! =)

I ended up picking one up on my way home.... $9,999 OTD. I'm happy with the price!

ooooh, she's purdy! Now ya gotta get those lean lines off the tires :thumbup

I'd say $9900 OTD is a good deal for a just-released model on southern california. Get workin on that turbocharged R1, I'm waiting for the videos!
Thanks guys :)

I'm still debating whether or not it's worth it to turbo the R1. Because, if I do, I'm sure it's not going to do much except wear out the center tread :p

Then again, I only use the R1 to commute or get to places quickly with only 2 track days under it's tires in 14,000 miles :(

Ah screw it... who knows a shop? :D
Nevermind the shop, I can help design the manifolds :thumbup I happen to be a package systems engineer, I'm quite good with finding places to put things like manifolds, outlets and mounts. We should get together and take some measurements and see what we can come up with.
I can build some of the parts and help engineer it too... Ha, AwwsChwA, I'm a packaging engineer. I'll design the bottle, you get it down the fill line.
You guys are awesome :D

I'm going out of the country middle of the month and my schedule's jam packed up until then, but I do get back the 3rd of July... what time after that works for you guys to meet up? :)

Any time, really. Sounds like the three of us can have some fun with it. Looks like I'll be needing that new laptop afterall. PM us when you're around, and we'll make plans :thumbup

Hey, I sent you a PM to see if you'd be interested in borrowing my R1 for 2 weeks while I'm in Korea.

Let me know...
