i have an 2003 r6. i m about to get a new chain for the bike as i think the stock one is dead. ( tight spot on chain. chain is already to loose.) should i go ahead and change the OEM Sprockets as well? im plannign to keep same gearing. so iw ill be using a 532 chain still. The stock chain/sprockets has about 15000kms. i may sell the bike next season.

A worn chain will wear on new sprockets quicker and vice versa so it is usually recommended to change everything at once,

+1, might as well do a 520 conversion while your at it:thumbup
You dont have to wipe your ass after you take a shit but for best results I recommend it.
Do front and rear sprockets wear at the same rate? I looked at what's on the bike yesterday and the rear is visibly worn (teeth are ever so slightly pointing to one side like shark fins), while the front looked just fine.

Although it might be that it's just the front one is newer on my bike.
An Alum rear will wear twice as fast as a steel front.

Makes sense, that's probably what's going on. Thank you. (off to finding a rear sprocket).
