im not a serious track guy. just your daily driver who likes to pick up speed every now and then. i had read a recent post about lowering your front end only 10mm to enhance the handling. now, i was wondering if that is noticable more for you track riders who attack the corners like mad men or does that appeal to us traditional riders cruisin a bend at 60? im lookin to lower the front end maybe an inch, to give it a nice dropped look, but not to dropped. i believe this may help my 1/4 mile times at the strip as well next summmer. any suggestions?

I'm not really sure what your question is.

Dropping the front doesnt really "enhance" handling, since that is totally subjective.

What I can tell you is that lowering the front changes your rake/trail and the more you lower it the less feedback from the front end you get. The less feedback you get, the easier/quicker it is to lowside w/o any warning. Of course, this is in curves. For the drag strip, dropping the front helps keep the nose down and helps your launches.

:umm Leave the bike stock haha... you cant get a "lowered look" w/o affecting your handling.... Ideally when you put a 70-series on the front, you should raise the rear.. which is kind of opposite what you want...

I did this with my bike when you go to turn it is instant. My goal was to put a little more weight on the front end to keep from bar slappers. It did seem to help a little but remember the affect on handling is huge. 10mm doesnt seem like sh*t but it affects the whole bike.

if you want it for dragracing wouldnt it be easier to just use the lowering straps that the drag racers use? theyre pretty cheap and a lot easier to remove than moving your forks up and down.
