How TO: Install A POWER COMMANDER

1. First things first open up your Favroite can of Yam so you can work comfortably
I have it on a Pitbull rear stand and 2 bungee cords to secure the tank lucky for me almost on empty so not soo heavy =0).

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y174/wizard1325/?action=view&current=DSC00349.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y174/wizard1325/DSC00349.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

2.Now the Fun part is wiring Hurray!!!!! Ok place it anywhere you want doesnt matter to me..but if you wanna change the maps later on make sure you have access to the ports in front of the commander. Follow the arrows and circles and you should be fine =0)... Its going to be a tuff jamm fitting all those wires through the port tubing so i used wanna my T-handle tools to give it a little push.
exspecially if you have other wiring there like my i900 scorpio alarm system =*(.

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y174/wizard1325/?action=view&current=DSC00345.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y174/wizard1325/DSC00345.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

3.Just keeping wiring it through and passed the battery..PC was nice enought to make the wire lengths for the Yam model just perfectly with enough slack... you will have 1 wire sticking out its the ground wire circled in Blue just connect that to the negitive terminal on the battery and your gravey=0)

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y174/wizard1325/?action=view&current=DSC00346.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y174/wizard1325/DSC00346.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

4.Once thats completed you going to have 4 dangling plugs off to the side from the P.C ..2 white circled in blue and 2 black circled in red

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y174/wizard1325/?action=view&current=DSC00347.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y174/wizard1325/DSC00347.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

5. look inside your can of yam and your going to see where these plugs go
On my yamaha maybe be similar for yours your going to have a bunch of wires in this picture circled in Purple.. that are going to hide and cover the main wires from the CPU. Just push them out of the way.. Circled in Red your going to see where the 2 white plugs go in. I already disconnected the black circled in blue as your can see in the picture. with those disconnected plug them in the black male and female ends of the P.C. (look at picture above circled in red). And do the same or the white plugs .. no by the end of the install no plugs should be unpluged.

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y174/wizard1325/?action=view&current=DSC00348.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y174/wizard1325/DSC00348.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

6.Now put you bike together and start her up you should get a green led light bar on the bottom of your PC. give it a few revs and see the bars go up.. My map for my P.C is customized for a K/N filter and a Yoshimurar TRC slip on exuast..
any questions will free to ask.. This was installed in a 2005 Yamaha R6 enjoy and thanks

Excellent DIY photos, thanks. Now I know this is easy. I have an 03 R6 with Hindle S/O, and would like better bottom end. My Yama dealer says this can mess up the ECU. I would do this if I could see improvement (dyno) on my model year and hindle, but haven't been able to find a good link. Can you share your PC links to dyno data? Thanks and glad this worked for you.
