electric system ?

Quick question for anyone good with the electrical system on the bike. Decided to put the leds into the back of the pegs to use as turn signals. Got 5 leds, put 560 ohm resistors on each and wired it into the holes i ,ade. It all works I tested it with a battery..now it even worked last night when i actually tested it on the bike, Today I went to splace it into the wiring harness on the turn signals and it will not work. The blinkers will blink fine until I actually attach the new wires, then the blinkers go out and stay out until i disconnect the led wiring? What the hell am i doing wrong?
