I checked my coolant level the other day and noticed it was a little below the LOW mark. Will that make the bike run rough? Will it make the fans turn on more?

...The coolant reservoir being low doesn't necessarily mean the coolant it low in your radiator..correct?

I'm just going to add more coolant to the reservoir like it states in the manual.

Where did the coolant go. I don't have a leak... There's only 2000 miles on the bike. I just bought it 2 months or so ago and the kid who had it before me hasn't rode it really since 2006. Would the bike sitting cause the coolant to disappear?

Nothing major... I'm still a newb

the purpose of the reservoir is to add fluid to the radiator when it needs it. so if there is a small leak in your cooling system this will keep going down and down, also just with plain old time it will go down.

your radiator technically will always be full, since you still have fluid in the reservoir, but in the case of absolutnati im not sure...

pgh-fill the reservoir, keep a watch on it. if it goes down within a day or so you have a leak in the system. if it slowly goes down over the period of a few weeks, you have nothing to worry about.

absolutnati- id drain, flush, and refill your cooling system... i don't like to mess with my bikes cooling system. how would you feel if you started running low on fluids, yea you might not feel it at first but you'll be tired and hot soon :lol
