I was bored at work today so I decide to browse through Yamaha Motors Europe and Australia. Then I see this white 2006 R6! I love the color but how come we don't get it here on this side of the ocean?:( Kinda dissappointed but I saw that they don't get the 50th Anniversary Edition Yellow. Plus, they have the YZF-R1 SP! I think they should have all models available for everyone not just on certain parts of the world. here is the link and I attached some pics. what you guys think?

god I want that one
That red is white just looks fast. I wonder if I could order those fairings and throw them on a us bike?
i'm pretty sure you could find them on the net somewhere
its all cus of the bean counters at Cypress and thier marketing stratagy...theres alot of bikes Yamaha makes that Euro's get and we don't
The reason they have the red/white in Europe is Yamaha's Team colors are Red/White in Europe. Here in the states it's Blue/White ( now going back to Yellow/White ) and in Japan it's Green! :lol
Been thinking about ordering the plastices and a new tank and doing the conversition myself. That is one bad ass looking bike, have a raven now, but really like the red and white.

J
usually yellow doesn't sell well here in europe
yeah we dont get access tot he 50th rep colour scheme
The R1 SP is the same bike as the LE edition here, just without the 50th anniversary colors. I like the white and red R6, but I'm glad I got a yellow one. Now if only Yamaha would give me a yellow seat cowl to go with it...
Just have it painted and order the stickers. Easy enough.
Ebay, here, or a euro R6 forum. Look for someone that's selling their stock plastics after turning their bike into a track bike. Hook up a tank and you're set. IMO, I love the red and white scheme, but not with the red seat, so doing the conversion and keeping the black seat I think would be hotter lookin...
Motorcycle manufacturers are notorious for releasing Euro bikes with different schemes than the U.S. version. Quite often the Euro bikes will look much better, especially Honda's bikes.
Pretty sweet bike, i am getting ready to paint mine all white, but now maybe a hint of red somewhere, never thought those two colors would go together.

Find some dude in the EU that will do a straight up swap
Tomato - Tomoto, either way, it's a peach
I wanted the 50th Ann colours the U.S got but I had to settle for the Competition white scheme.

I must admit im very happy with mine the paint really does sparkle in the sun.:hyper

+ you dont really see alot of white bikes.

The Competition white scheme is sold out in the U.K untill November
I must be the only one that doesn't like the White/Red Combo...

I like the white... not the red

I would rather have the yellow/champ scheme we got this year.
