Chatterbox GMRSX1 woes

I recently bought a pair of chatterboxes for my wife and I and today was the first time we were able to test them out. When we turned on our headsets, mine was fine but my wifes had hella feedback coming through her speakers. I could hear her perfectly fine when she was talking to me, but when I was talking to her she could only hear the first few words and then got static and feedback. The sounds coming through her speakers reminded me of when you hold two walkie talkies next to each other while holding the transmit button. I shrugged it off at first, thinking that maybe we were too close to each other, but the problem continued throughout our entire ride. We turned them off halfway through our ride when we both got a high pitched shriek coming through the speakers. I'm clueless as to what could be causing this. A month ago she used our handheld chatterbox to talk to me from our car while I was riding and everything worked perfectly. Does anyone know what can fix this? Thanks in advance.

i had something like that when i got one and so did my dad, i ride with him a lot and although they come somewhat charged, they didn't work right until you completely drain the battery (turn up the sensitivity and set it next to a radio or somethin for a couple hours till its dead) then charge for a total of like 14 hours.

why this works i do not know, but it fixed the problem for us, we were getting a lot of static, and loud noises. Its in the manual that they say to do this, and i'm sure a lot of people pass it over, as i did myself. also, try messin around with the channels you are on, some definitely work better then others.

if all else fails take it back and get a different one, could jsut be a faulty unit, good luck though
Good question, I'm dealing with the same thing right now. I drained the battery down, re-charged it fully and I had the issue lingering a bit still. I think it may just be a bad battery though, so I have to replace that now and do some testing.
I drained them once, but I didn't let them charge for 14 hours. I think they charged for 10. I'm not sure if that would make a difference or not, but I'll try it again for the hell of it. It's really irritating, though. You spend the money on something that's supposed to be the best and so far they suck ass.
