Brake Pads

I have been having the front brake squeak on my 04 R6, and when i looked down for a closer look i noticed that my pads are riding on the disc. i tried to get a piece of paper between the pad and the disc and the paper won't even fit between them. Is that normal? and if it isn't how can I fix the Problem. Thanks

Sounds normal. The pads have to rub the disk slightly, if not the lever would have to travel way to far to get any braking power. Pad compounds these days will squeak a little, it's ok as long as there is materal there and there is no grinding noise. If it bothers you remove the cailpers and clean them, take some rough sand paper and scuff up the pads to remove any glazing.
