Almost every state and territory laws require motorcycles to be equipped with mirrors to be street legal. And even if your local laws don’t say anything about them, you don’t want to ride without your mirrors. They make riding in densely populated areas and heavy traffic much safer because you don’t have to turn your head around and get distracted from the road ahead. Even if you take your motorcycle to race on the track, it’s always good to know what is going on behind you and see if someone wants to overcome you.

The majority of motorcycle manufacturers offer models with mirrors mounted either on the handlebar or at the fairing. The third popular option is bare-end mounted mirrors, but they are rarely come standard from the factory. In case one of your mirrors or both of them get broken or damaged, or you simply don’t like how they look, or maybe you find your standard mirrors too small to see clearly, you can always visit MOTORCYCLEiD.com and choose a great aftermarket analog, custom or OEM-style.
