Domestic cars are real cheap? How are the chargers? Iam used to hondas and acs.
The V6 Charger is a POS. I had one as a rental car and it sucked: no power, no handling, and no fun. Looks like a good sedan though.

I came from a 2005 wrx, so it's a little slow, but it's definitely a peppy car.

I have the manual. It really should be 6-speed because of the way it's geared. First has a ton of torque, almost to the point of annoyance in the rain. Very easy to spin the tires unintentionally.

It's pretty comfy. I haven't taken any super long trips on it, only about three hours. No ass hurting problems. It's also very quiet. Every once in a while I will be on the highway and not realize i am in 4th because i can't hear the engine, pretty different than the wrx.

If you get the upgraded sound system, the interface for browsing your ipod is horrendous. If you want more than like three seconds it goes back to the home menu and you have to start all over again.

There's not a lot of storage. So if you haul stuff a rabbit or something might be a better choice. But it will hold four people comfortably, as long as you abide by the "no fatties" rule. :lol

Gas mileage is pretty good. Most i've gotten on a tank is about 340 (all highway). Least is about 290 (all city). Normal is about 310-320 before i fill up. It takes regular 87.

Overall, it's not a bad car. It looks cool and does everything pretty well. I definitely don't like it as much as my wrx, but i knew i wouldn't when i got it. I've probably been a little harsher on it than it deserves.

If you have any other questions let me know. Sorry for the thread jack.

I would choose the RSX Type-S. Its roughly 2k more than the base model, but you can find an 03ish for around 12 right now. I have an 03 with 75k on it, and I haven't had a problem with it. There is no recall on those cars, and if you're doing strictly HWY driving you'll love it. I use to commute a lot from Duluth MN to the Twin Cities. Driving like a granny (speed limit 70mph) I can get close to 35-36 miles per gallon. If I drive around 85-95mph I can get roughly 28-30mpg.

Insurance isn't that bad. about 100 bucks a month for full coverage if you have a descent record.

The Hatch is awesome. You can fit a ton of stuff back there. My race weekend I had my buddy trailer my bike and I hauled the rest of my stuff up there. I had a ton of stuff.

If you have any questions pm me. I can fill you in.

If you're thinking about the 3.2TL...there is a tranny recall on it just like the 01-02 MDX. But once those get fix you should be golden. As far as the TSX goes...great car, but if you have no need for a sedan I wouldn't get it. You'll get more MPG out of the RSX. You can probably find a newer CIVIC SI for around 15-17k. Very nice car. Fly by wire throttle, LSD, Traction control. Essentially the same car as the RSX, but no leather seats. You can also have Navi in the Civic.

I like the TL's, nice cars. And agreed, I'd rather pay a little more and have something I really enjoy versus saving some cash and having something that's just transportation.

Taken from Ward's Autoworld "Take a look at J.D. Power and Associates' 2007 Vehicle Dependability Survey. Buick is No. 1, tied with Lexus. And this is no flash in the pan. Buick consistently scores will in most quality surveys and has for years. Cadillac is in third place. Mercury in fourth. Lincoln is tied with BMW. Jarguar is rated better than Acura, Mercedes-Benz, and Infiniti."

The recent thought of American cars being crappy quality may not be holding oh so true any longer. I think the Americans have made a solid strive towards quality, even if that isn't improving their sales as of yet.
