Anyone got a GPR version 1 damper ( maybe older ) on their 05?

I bought one a little while back and then sold it cause I wanted a red one and also I have an 03 so the 05 mount didn't fit....anyway, I think when I got the damper it was missing some spacers.... because the bracket that mounts near the gas tank seems to be sitting too low. Can someone confirm whether or not there are indeed some spacers that would raise that piece up. Pictures would be great.

I just installed a GPR version1 damper on my '05 r6 Yesterday. There were two silver spacers about 1/3" thick that went under the bracket that attaches to the gas tank front mount. Sorry don't have a pic.

I would think a stack of washers would work just as well. Just add enough so that the mount is high enough to clamp onto the bar coming off of the damper.

One other note: I had to file the back side of the "ears" on the base plate mount that gets bolted to the triple clamp to get it to sit down properly on the triple clamp. But other than that no install issues whatsoever. Feels great.

well, i don't have one but i do know that the mounting hardware is different for 03 and 04-05.

thanks for the info....I talked to GPR, they are sending out the spacers, free of charge. Great customer support!!!! Ironically, my GPR, the one on my bike - not the one that needed spacers, shit the bed yesterday so I have to contact them again to see what they can do for me
