I've gone thru 3 sizes of helmet tryin to find oen that fits me well. I started with a medium HJC, that quickly loosened up on me. I went down to a small Shoei, and after a couple months that one got loose also. Now, I have an XS Arai Quantum2, and at speeds around 110, 120ish i can feel it moving around on my head a bit. Anyone wear an XXS? I had no frikkin idea my head was so tiny!!

that is just plain crazy.........try different companies like arai and agv and see if they fit you any differently, try and compensate for the packing out by feeling the firmest pressure points and loosest point in the helmet, if there are some tight and some kinda loose, when the tight ones pack out the helmet will be loose. It is hard to explain but with ski helmets its a big deal to racers. find a helmet that fits the best overall and go from there, haircuts will account for a lot of fitting problems too.
:lol :lol :lol :spit :spit

:umm on the serious note... u might wanna check out all companies and see how their sizes fit you.
What's up, Beetle?

What is your cap size or any other circumference measurement?

Here's some sizing charts that may help. Keep in mind that shape could play a role in that as well, but I'm guessing that's less of an issue here. Why and where are you riding 120mph?:

Streets of Willow race course.

Oh, and I'm aware that each helmet fits differently. I have an Arai head, the Shoei is too wide for me. I haven't tried an AGV or Suomy yet, so I'll have to size some of those.

Arai and Shoei both make long-oval shaped helmets. The Profile(Signet) is similar to the TZR. The RF-1000 is similarly round as the Quantum, and the Corsair and X-11 are more intermediate, with the Shoei being perhaps slightly longer, or not as wide as the Arai. i don't know which models you've tried, but the wider issue is puzzling since you are currently wearing a rounder Quantum. Maybe that is the issue there as well. Try the helmets on without the cheekpads first to see if they fit across the top of your head front to back and side to side to side, the cheeks may be the issue in the end, and can be swapped-out for thinner or thicker pieces, but it seems to be where a lot of riders "feel" the fit initially.

I think AGV is more oval with most if not all of their line, and Suomys are rounder with most if not al lof their lines available here as well. There have been some recent discussions of AGV on here recently,. and you can check some good reviews for size and shape issues on www.webbikeworld.com. I'd say that fit can probably be somewhat inconsistent thorughout the lines of helmets depending on how many shell sizes are used and where your head falls within those considerations. You might want to check into that aspect a little too if it gets to be a real issue with more choices.

i had the exact same problem. went through a medium kbc, then a small shoei, and now i'm at a xs arai. i've only worn the arai twice so i haven't really got it loosened up yet. like someone said earlier, i think they sell different cheek pads to accomodate for small headed guys like us. :rollin
