99-02 R6 Fuel Tank 56k run

I got a Fuel Tank for an R6. The tank has a dent on the side...its fixable...This would make a good stunt bike tank, or one to get fixed. Willing to let go cheap...make me an offer. I just joined these boards...you can check my ebay feedback... S/N is RaiderFootball27

Are you sure that's off an '03 R6? '03 was the first year with fuel injection and that doesn't look anything like the bottom and pump on my two tanks ('03 tank, '04 bike).

Have to agree, that looks like a 99-02 tank.

The 99-02 doesnt seem to have the Yamaha emblem on there. I bought the bike with the tank because it has a ding in mine. Mines an 00, I was under the impression that it will not work... That tanks looks different then the one I have on mine...

Some people after repainting their tank will put the tuning fork logo ala 03+ on their tank instead of the yamaha sticker, so just because it doesnt have that decal doesnt mean its not a 99-02.:2cents
