Is it possible to do a +3 sprocket in the rear on an 05 R6? I am looking to swap sprockets on a budget.

Thanks!

YEP.....51 Tooth Sprocket. :thumbup
Have fun keeping that front end down..:hyper :rockingba
3 teeth is no biggie. Its just about the same as dropping only 1 down up front. By the way, front sprockets are cheaper than rears.
Well if I did a front I would want to do a rear, then I might as well go 520, then it's 180+ labor. This way I just want to keep it simple. Here are some measurements I got:

6th Gear, 15,500rpm:
Stock: 180.33mph
+2 Rear: 173.12mph
+3 Rear: 169.72mph

4th Gear, 4000 RPM:
Stock: 37.81 mph
+2 Rear: 36.3 mph
+3 Rear: 35 mph
Do the 520 conversion yourself. Not that hard, there's even a how-to. $180 in labour is more than a whole 520 conversion anyway.
What do you guys think of this setup?

I have heard Vortex sprockets aren't the best...
I have never purchased from them, but I remember reading something about them and horrible service/products........you may want to do a search to see if anything comes up.

+1, yea man get off your ass. i suggest spendin that money you where gonna spend on service and buy yourself the tools and equipment needed for this job. that way the money is goin back to you. im sure you can find a step to step "how to" it took me an hour to do my shit and tune it. not very hard.

If I buy a 520 I think I will end up doing it myself, anyone know anything about any of those parts they are selling in that kit? I like how it myseriously sold after I posted it on here ;).
I got a AFAM - DID kit from cal-sportbikes for 159.99, its a standard package from them. Comes with a rivet link
