2004 R6 ECU CDI SWAP

Hi just bought a 2004 R6 got a deal since it was only running on two cylinders. Code 34 (#2 ignition coil) but tested all coils and get spark on all 4. Did a contunity check on the wiring to the ECU and OK. Looks like I need a new ECU. Also can't erase code in diag mode 62. Turn on and off kill but stays there. So the real question is can I use a 2003 or 2005 ECU. I know the part numbers are different but ebay ads have them as 2003-2005. Anyone do a swap or test to know if I can do this. Ironically a few 2003 and 2005 used ones for sale but no 2004:hyper
