I bought a 2000 R6 project a few weeks ago that didn't run. I rebuilt the carbs, new fuel pump, new coils, new starter, new battery, fresh oil, fresh plugs. The bike would die as soon as I completely let go of the clutch. I found that my fuel line was kinked and once I fixed that the bike would no longer die but has little power. It will stall as i pull in the clutch when coming to a stop. It smells like gas quite a bit so i thought it must be flooding. I measured the float height but no matter which way or how far i bend the metal tang on the float it makes little to no difference in the reading. am i doing something wrong here? I measure from the base of the float bowl to the end of the float, with the tang barely touching the needle. air fuel screws set to 2 turns out. I also adjusted the tps according to the manual. I'm running out of ideas here any help would be appreciated it.
