Hi guys,

I need a little bit of info from you please. I've not long had my bike (02 R6) & I noticed it has a gold DID chain fitted.

How do I know if it's the stock 532 size.

I'm pretty sure the sprockets are stock 16t front, 48t rear but I was wondering how much a 15t front sprocket would affect acceleration & how much top end would be lost.

From what I've read, a 15t sprocket is a quick & cheap way to gain more acceleration but are the gains really that noticeable?

Thanks for your help.

yeah it'll only take off probably 15-20mph from top end, but it will help midrange a bit but if you are really looking for an improvement, drop one up front and add two in the rear 2+ in the rear is roughly -1 in front, you'll notice a bit with just -1 up front you should be able to float the front wheel a little more just in acceleration. just my two cents
