I was riding today and unfortunately I got the error code for a improperly charging battery. I continued to take off the stator connector and measured the voltage to be consistently 25V +/- 2 AC(Aftermarket stator). I then continued to charge the battery disconnected from the bike to see if it would hold charge and it holds ~14.4V when close to fully charged and its holding too. Checked wiring, all of it was fine and not burnt or nicked and all fuses are ok. So the final thing it could be is the rectifier according to the manual

My question is for the rectifier, is it model year specific? I know the 06+ have the 6 pin model but since I have the second gen basically it uses a 5 pin connector: 3 from the 3 phase stator and 1 ground, 1 constant DC(measured to be 12.3 V). Could I use the 1st gen one since it is the matching 5 pin? Its much cheaper online and it doesnt have to be shipped from china
