1500 sounds very low.
03 r6 limited, to how many?
I was out at the spot and this dude rolled up with the same bike as mine. He said there limited to 1500 but that sounds like b.s. Is there a number?

There is no such thing as a limited 03 R6, unless you're talking about the R46, which didnt come to America.

its a special paint and they made it faster , but only told a select few. it goes 200mph , but yamaha didnt say anything due to insurance.

The only recent "limited edition" bikes they made were the 2001 Yamaha R1/R6 champion edition. They made 1000 of those each. came with number plates too i miss my champ r1. And the newer 06 R1 LE.
i was at the spot tonite and there were 3 guys w/ red flame r6s and 4 w/ red flame r1s, no joke. limited edition my ass.
Well couldnt it be concidered a special edition if its only released one time? blue comes out every year so not special... but the 03 R6 was black with red flames... they didnt have that sheme in 04... the had silver with ghost flames.... so technically, it could be considered a special edition

My local dealer couldn't sell the black/flame 03 he had and offered it to me for less than a Blue one (which he couldnt supply) but I had my heart set on Blue and drove the 60 miles to the next closest dealer and paid a little more.
I have only ever seen one Black/flame (other than Slickwillies who rode here from Michigan) in my area. Lots of blues and quite a few silvers....
