WAKE UP LADIES............

Just thought I'd get your attention.

So, how many of the old R6Messagenet Deals Gap Trip members still hang around here? Do you guys still have the R6MN trips down there anymore?

Just came on here to see what was going on and search to see if you guys were still doing Deals Gap trips anymore. Last year was the first year I haven't been down there in the area since I first went in 02 after getting my R6. I was telling a guy at work about us running across Blood Mt that one trip where Trav made the video of it and that got me thinking about you guys. Also, me and the family went down in the Smokies at the first of Dec for a week and ended up driving through the NP on 74 (little river road), which was the little 2-lane road that we ran with the group once (BIG mistake) - the road was bumper to bumper Blue-hairs, RV's and Dually's going both directions and we were passing them all 1-car-at-a-time all the way through there. I remember when we go to the end of the road David and I stopped to wait for everyone and he was freaking out because all the Pissed-Off people that were gonna be coming by the intersection

Ahhhh...... man those are some great memories......Wiltod getting lost.......Oooch crashing infront of Deals Gap store with a FULL parking lot as an audiance....... Dan getting a ticket when he decided to bail on the group and go ride solo......... breaking in the Florida group........ and the party they had........... passing that cop on 143 connector when pretty much the whole group was 100+.......... taking the all day loop down into N. GA with 20 bikes in the group........ BBQ-ing on the street at the Phillips Motel....... and the little cuties that stopped to talk and her "baby-daddy" stopping and running her off.......... Trav and the pinecone....... Guiki trying to dig a tunnel through the hillside with his bike......... Neil freaking out when the roosters woke him up crowing....... Kidd and Molly joining us that one trip before they got hitched and made the first R6MN baby....... Will and Dozz pulled over on 64 for speeding and waving us to pull over with them as we passed by - N.O.T. ....... V-man showing us all just how good a big ol boy can manhandle a Busa........... on and on..........

We had some great times on those trips.

(Speaking of, V-man is going through a tough fight with cancer - be sure to keep him and his family in your prayers)

I sold my R6 back in June, but picked up an '01 FZ-1 a couple months ago. I like it pretty good, it's comfy and handles pretty good too. Just got to thinking about all those times and wondered how many of the old gang was still around and might be interested in another R6MN Deals Gap Trip for old times sake.......... say around late April or early May?

Me and Ned, circa May 2005:

Good to hear you're doing well, Jason. I also have started a family and am expecting my second (a boy) on May 31st. My daughter was born 4/27/06.

Very sad to hear about Kevin. He will definately be in my thoughts......

Oh and for the record.. I was not trying to dig a tunnel.. I was Ditch Inspecting

I'd love to go to another Gap trip, always a great time! See you around...

Good to hear from you guys !!! Wonder if Ned is still riding, I'd guess so. If there is enough intrest, I'd get back on the stick and get another one going........... kinda like a R6MN reunion............ like the movie Old School.......... only, I ain't going streaking............ but I bet we could put Trav up to it
