Default Nice day out and I can't ride rant! FU Walt Healy

I am so frustrated, I see so many bikes around and I can't ride. My bike is at Walt Healy and I am so f*cken pissed with those f*ckers!!!

I knew it was going to be nice this weekend so I booked my bike in for a tune-up and valve seal adjustment on Thrusday. I tooked my bike to Walt Healy b/c the head mechanic is my dad's good friend.

I got a call back from them on Friday afternoon and was pretty excited about picking it up. My boss wasn't too happy b/c I left right in the middle of a meeting. Anyway, the bills come to $700! and they told me they gave me a $40 discount on the parts already. Nothing on labor at all! If I would known I would of taken to Blackfoot Motorcycle, I got a quote for $500-600 for all the work and it is closer to my place.

I wasn't happy with the $700 bill but I was excited to get my bike back, so I paid and off I went.

As soon as I left the shop the bike started to jerk a bit but I though it would go away. I turned off to Deerfoot, highway, and as soon as I shift in 3rd the bike back fire, jerk and stalled. A van was behind me and he slammed on his brake and almost hit me, I thought I was toast. The bike idle fine just won't go.

I call Walt and they said they will send someone out. I waited for 1/2hr, then called back and they guy still there. Now he's telling me he's busy. I can't get mad and bitch at them b/c of my dad's friend. They got mad at me for calling them too many time, I was stranded b/c of their f*cken mistake.

To end this, they finally picked it up later on the day. They opened on Sat but won't work on my bike. I have to wait until next week to see what happen. My bike was running perfectly before I bought it in.

Never going to bring it back there again!

My Sunday Rant...

What I don't understand is why the dealer that your dad's friend works at is higher in the first place to do the same job

But, if it makes you feel any better, we got more snow this weekend and the temperature is right around 0 still, so I am probably another 2 weeks or so before I get to turn a wheel.

Walt Healy specialize in Yamaha so they think they can charge more.

Just got off the phone with them, look like I need to fork out another 3 bills. I am not sure what it is but some electrical parts, I think it's a coil, is broken and it is going to cost me $189 + 1 hr labor.

It is so nice this week, in the mid teens all week long. Parts is not going to get here til Thursday, so I am praying it will be done by the weekends.

That sucks R6Scorpio and I've never heard anything bad about WH before. I was considering taking the 6 there, for anything I can't do myself, but I'll have to rethink that. Hope you get your ride back soon, cause yeah, the weather is awesome right now.

Sweet! I'll be at the track the day before you for Brad Gavey's school. I almost signed up for Too Cool's course the next day, but figured I'd be a hurtin' unit after the first day. I'll be taking it next year for sure! Have fun.

I am not knocking down Walt Healy all together. They probably a very respectable shop, I am just pissed that I can ride. I have to give them the benefit of the doubt, I don't think they meant for my bike to die after the tuned up. It is an electrical problem so it could of gone at anytime.

My dad own a auto mechanic shop and I see lots of people in my situations so I can't just slammed them for one incident.
