Raffa Racing’s new team mate

Ste-Marthe sur le Lac, QC - Representatives of the RAFFA RACING TEAM excitedly announced this week that Women’s cup novice racer, Sara-Clode Carriere will be joining the team for the upcoming 2008 season.

In 2007, Sara, who at the time was only 16 years old, stunned competitors and spectators of the Women’s Cup Championship Novice class by starting at the last regional of the RACE series with an instant podium at Shannonville (her first race ever).

Carriere has joined forces with the Raffa Racing Team, and in co-operation with Mimic Industries which has very graciously supplied her with a race ready 2006 Yamaha R6, will compete in all of the rounds of the RACE regional Women’s rounds.

"I'm thrilled to have been given this opportunity! It’s a once in a lifetime chance for me." explains Carriere. "Raffa Racing/Mimic Industries are really stepping up to the plate by supporting our sport, and I am so pleased that they have included me in their plans! I couldn’t be happier!"

Carriere will join PRO racer Louie Raffa, who will act as personal coach, under the Raffa Racing tent, an amalgamation that is sure to benefit both riders in many ways. "Sara is a very talented rider and a wonderful addition, she's an excellent choice for our team," stated Raffa. "I'm definitely looking forward to working with her & coaching her as best I can in her 1st year ."

The newly expanded Raffa Racing Team will be out in full force at the 1st round of the RACE regional series in Shannonville, Ontario in ‘08.
