I live in Toronto, i went to Vancouver for a vacation and just got back. man you vancouver ... or entire BC riders got lucky. There are so many nice road in Vancouver as i've seen.
I saw so many RC51s ont he street, could you guys tell me why? people need more low rpm torques to enoy the uphills and downhills in Vancouver?

I saw four R6 for the entire trip and I was sad about it, i thought there would be more R6s to hit the twisties.. oh maybe most R6s were hitting the twisties when i was in driving on Robson street.. uhn?

I saw a guy riding with his GF ont eh back on Stanley park.... and i saw two R6 parked right beside the IMAX centre... anyways... you guys are so so so lucky.

now I'm looking at the shitty straight Toronto roads...

anyone has a job offer for me in Vancouver.. I'm moving there....

Did you get up my favourite, the Sea-to-Sky Highway? It's the one all this Olympics controversy is over. Ride it quick before they start making it safe!

Forget that. I went to Mt. Baker yesterday for the first time this season. I just threw on a set of Pirelli Diablo's and man do those tires stick in the wet (the last tight twisty section at the top was wet from a passing shower). That's one of my favourite rides out of Vancouver...

You gotta get past Whister on the 99 before it starts getting fun; no cops after that all the way to Lillooet.

Default the man

It's funny you should mention that: I got stopped by a West Van cop just the other day, north of Lions' Bay. He claimed he had to check to see if riders held only Class 5 licences.

Default yo

I found yo BC cops drive very unpredicatable cars.. like Grand prix ont eh street trying catching people.. that's pretty mean. Even though i saw some Toronto Cops drive Camero on the highway catching speeding runaways...

laugh

Default Mt Baker

The trip to Mount Baker is a very good ride, no doubt. I especially like the way the curves flow and how they’re slightly banked. On the other hand, two things need to be pointed out about this ride: firstly, the closer you get to the mountain, the poorer the road surface is: corrugation, stutter bumps, ripples, uneven paving, and even a big groove between the lanes. It’s frustrating having such a great route but not being able to ride hard because of the pavement quality, especially if your suspension is set up hard. I didn’t hit the curves too hard because I wasn’t confident in the grip of the front tire. Secondly, after I passed the Hell Station in Maple Falls, I had lots of gas worries. There’s basically no gas until you come back. I didn’t have enough to return from the peak. This meant I was forced to purchase some of the 87 octane stuff used in snow equipment. Next time, I’d buy gas in Sumas, but what’s with the five or so gas stations not open/out of business there? Another positive: there was little traffic (but tons on Canada 1). Oh, and the only cop I saw was in the great white north; he was very busy sitting in his car not noticing non-speeding infractions.

Default 99 North

Don't you get a kick out of the blind corners and cagers over the centre line on the Sea-to-Sky? You're more alive when you could die at any second.

its only the cars and any fallen rocks that I worry about. i know that highway really well. the weirdest thing i've ever seen is a massive red cedar that fell about 60 feet onto the highway one stormy night. it blocked the highway for about 45 minutes inbetween britannia and lions bay. the tree was huge, about 4-5 feet in diameter. luckily it didn't land on anyone though...

That cedar sounds like it was something to see. My memories of wood on the Sea-to-Sky involve campers turned into kindling.
Seriously though, don't you ever wonder if some tourist is sitting out of gas around a blind corner?
