Hah! Who's Still Riding?

I apparently have been a bit of a savage. I just can't get back into the whole commute in my car thing. But damn is it cold. Iceman cometh.

heated vets and grips aint touchin this cold. Espcially when I am commuting from my place to the hospital in my scrubs @ 0630

Yep, with four layers. Riding suit, sweat pants, tights, long Johns. After about 45' on the freeway my Alpinestars no longer keep my hands warm. I can't find anyone selling snowmobile gloves near Vancouver; anybody? The weather this year is something else. You notice your riding skill deteriorating with every extra layer of clothing? Rain soon...

My bike has been sleeping for a month already. :finger

-10*C is too cold for me(not to mention the snow that comes with it...).:|

Two degrees. Yesterday I rode down to Point Roberts. Disappointing place. The roads are like gravel pasted on: it feels like a flat tire. Today I washed the bike as the snowflakes fell. Nuts. Exactly what day is warm weather going to be back?

April 1. You might be able to get it on the road middle of march, but its pretty weather dependant. Until then it's this for me:



Yar. And I'm already getting fired up for next season. I'm going to be getting my racing license ASAP and start being a savage at Mission.

Hey, Kwota, that's great about your licence. It's something I want to do, too, but there are some things holding me back: I cannot afford to destroy my bike (it's primary transportation and I wouldn't hold back on the track) and I'm feeling lazy about prep like safety wiring. If I had piles of cash I'd do it today, with a trailer, race bike, etc. Let me know how it goes for you. Are you going to ride to the races?

Nope. not riding. trailering. I think somewhere in the WMRC rulebook it says that you can't display your racing number on your bike on the street (ie. you can't ride the track bike on the street) anyway, i'm just itching to get out there. i want winter to be over, although i did have a pretty good day on sunday (went snowmobiling), so winter may not be all that bad.
