Hey everyone, I live in Calgary and I am going to be buying a 2002/2003 R6 next spring. Right now i'm just trying to price everything out, this will be my first bike and i was just wondering what some of you out there are paying for insurance for a year. I'm 17 going to be 18 in the summer, and i will be taking AMA's motorcycle training course. Thanks for the help!
Thanks for the info Northern, i was just wondering why your insurance is so high? I though that it was cheaper for some reason, like under 750$ a year. Is your's just PLPD or everything? Also, if anyone out there has a 02 R6 that they want to sell in the spring when i have the money, please let me know. Thanks again.
My buddy lived in Calgary for a while he had a 2003 gsxr 600 and he was paying $600 for a year, he is 23 and has few tickets too I heard Alberta has the best insurance rates, wish i could register my bike there lol
I got quoted $2800 for a 99 R6, and i'm 22, got my driver ed done and stuff, have 2 minor tickets, toronto really sucks with insurance, they pretty much rape you I pay $2400 for my car and it's registered on my dad because on me it would be $6000! Alberta is eally cool with insurance, too bad we don't have same thing here.
I have a BC driver's licence but just got my motorcycle licence this summer. I want to insure my bike but my bike is currently in Toronto. Do you guys know if I need the bike to be physically in BC to get my insurance?
Here is the Yukon I pay 422 a year, went up 22 bucks after i got caught going 88 in a school zone..now before you flame me for speading ina school school it was after fall time change and i got all screwed up.. anyways i am only 23 and i pay 422
