Default Oh Yeah Part 2

Well first day back on the road today. I insured the bike for the summer and went to meet up with a riding buddy. 20 minutes after the bike was on the road i got a nice speeding ticket, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that now the base ticket has gone up from $120 to $190. Fucking new government. Fucking motorcycle cops. there were 5 of them on the north end of the knight street bridge all shooting southbound drivers, just standing around in the sun, chipping away at their quota. i was going 8km/hr faster than the traffic, and my dumb hung over ass is very aware of the spot, but the throttle hand wasn't. anyway, after those pleasantries, went for a sweet ride along the twisties on marine drive in west van to horseshoe bay, followed by a nice romp up to squamish on the 99, which, i have to say was perfect; little traffic, warm, and very savage. it was 16 today with a dark blue sky. it was one of those rides where the traffic just vanished right as the twisties appeared.

Hey, I was up at Squamish yesterday, too. How about the gaggle of cops at the bottom of the big hill north of Furry Cr.?
Did Cypress as well. Were you out with a guy on a yellow 749/999?

Nope. I was with my girlfriends dad on his 1970 all-badass-black triumph daytona 500. i was so pumped when i got to squam, and saw these newbies in their tight leathers (who ran over from their bikes at mcdonalds to see what i was riding), so i pped up the front wheel for a bit after i turned off the highway, but we never went to the starbucks, we went down to the brewpub for lunch (i think it was about 3:30)...

i usually ride with a guy on a heavily modified RC51, or another guy on a 2000 GSXR-750.

how's the lookout hairpin at cypress? clear yet, or is it still sandy/salty?

hairpin's surprisingly clear, like summer. I don't know why the middle lane is brown, though. It's cool having good clear roads right beside snowtubing. Bootiful.

ahh, went up to pemberton today for a very fast fast ride with my buddy on his RC51. absolute savagery as we left kits at 10am, and went to pemberton, where i stopped and visited my buddy, and then ate lunch, and then ripped back, and made it back to my house in kits by 2:15. almost got roasted by a number of different cops on the way up and back, the funniest time was right on the edge of pemberton. i saw my buddy down on the dock with his dog, and stopped and chatted for a bit, and then when we started riding again, popped a big wheelie over these weird ripple rollers in the road. some old man was coming the other way in a beat up green truck, and gave me this dirty look with the rapidly downward hand motion. i thought he didn't like my wheelie/speed, and to spite him i kept my speed up. there's a right hander right before the petro can, and there was a cop SUV sitting there in these low bushes. i came around the corner, saw the white RCMP truck, and had this staredown with this super fat cop; i was grabbing for my brake, while he was pulling up his little ray gun. i drew first and braked in time and my buddy was basically doing a wheel stand behind me. the cop didn't just give us a quick shot of the radar gun, its like he was in some anti-aircraft battery and blasting away at each of us for like 5 seconds apiece. anyway, some unlucky bastard on a bike that was rallying up behind us got a ticket from him, and then we had the pleasure of watching a bunch of bikini clad girls washing cars while we ate lunch. ten out of ten. what fun.

How come you get bikini-clad girls? Otherwise sounds like a typical ride!
BTW, Mt. Seymour has fine sand/salt residue on the road.
