Default 01 r6 carb trouble

Hey pps, I bought a dynojet kit, and I have a resonable knowledge of how everything works, but I'm no pro. So I took the tank off, took off the air box, removed the carbs, installed my kit, cleaned the hell out of it, reinstalled, and turned the key hoping for that amazing sound....All I got was a starter...Nothing, so I rechecked everthing, my floats are working good, no jets clogged, I have tried everything I know.

So here is my question, the black thing that you can see when you look down into the carbs, it holds the neddel. Is it supposed to move when cranking. Also how hard is it to get the carbs back on, I believe they are on all they way, but they seem to move more than i believe is right. And anything else you could add would be great!

I dont know what the hell it is, but apparently my dad has to be around for my stuff to work after I have taken it apart. I put everything back on as I had several times, and we turned it over for about 20 minutes of so, and ill be dammed, it started right up, we did nothing different than before, guess i dont have the touch yet.

probably just had to refill the bowls... BUT if it took that long, you may want to change the fuel filter for better flow...
