Default Is an 03 R6 with 19k too much? Or a bike that is unpainted?

Someone offered to sell me an 03 with 19k, he said the oil had been changed with synthetic ever 2k miles. And it had 2 down sprocket so it as off a few. The pics look great theres not a scratch on the bike. Lowest price is $4600 I have another offer which is a an 05 with 2500 miles. It was laid down and has all new fairings and tank which are flat black. Lowest price is $4200 Which would be a better deal?

I can't really tell you what do with just that info and not having seen either. But I will tell you I paid $3,500 for an 04 with 15k miles that had been laid down and it has run flawlessly for the last 2000 miles, can't notice the damage after a few about $40 in touch ups, and is the new love of my life. I guess that's both of your scenarios in one, but I dont think 19k miles for 4600 is worth it, IMO. But the other one, pending any serious damage, could be a good buy especially if you can use the cosmetic damage to negotiate the price down like I did.

I'd take the 05. They come with inverted forks! Plus lower milage, plus it's newer so it's going to be worth more. You can take the fairings to a paint shop and they'll paint it for 500 bucks.

But before you jump on it go test ride it make sure they are straight since they've been laid over.

GL!
