Default next season in CO

I'm definitely going to start racing in 2008 and am looking for a good race class that will get me MRA certified, Any recommendations?

I know the first classes won't start until march at the earliest...

Merry Christmas!!!!

There are several out of state classes you can go take before march if ya want. In state the mra school is a good class and they cover starts and have a mock race at the end. I went to Ricky Orlandos school and he didnt do starts but it was a really good class and getting kicked down with knowlege from a pro like Ricky is hella cool. The class Pridmore runs is good to its in may the STAR school. These will get you started there is some others really good ones but cost upwards of 3g's I thinks its better to get a little seat time in before taking umm so get more out of umm.

I'm looking to atleast run all the co dates in Novice gtu. I cant decide if I wanna go do all the r2sl stuff and some cool outstate stuff or race.
What classes are looking at running??

The class that the MRA offers is very good, and will teach you more than just procedures and tech. Ricky Orlando and Mark Schellinger also offer very good private instruction that will get you your license as well.

I'd do amateur GTU as well. It's mostly novices, and the more actual race laps you get the better.

Yes I highly recommend the actual MRA race school. There are normally 3 classes, last one being right before the first race. If you are going to do the MRA school, which you should, I'd suggest signing up for the earliest one. You have to have completed the school before you can sign up for races, and since you're a new racer (no 07 points) your grid spot is set by your join date (or something close).

Good to see two of you are going to start racing. I was sort of preparing myself all this year to run maybe one or two Pueblo rounds in 08' as well. I'd be in novice GTO though with the 1k.

I plan on doing some racing schools as well. Right now the biggest thing holding me back is my knee. We will see closer to March on how my knee is doing. Lets hope for the best!!!

Later,
Thomas
