Just wondering if its a nice faciltity or not. Supposed to go down there in march. Any of ya Nevada folk live near the track and got some room for some messagenet.ers to crash out at your place?

I've heard really good things about Parump, but I've never been there myself.

Best freakin track EVER! Ok. Maybe I'm not qualified to say that.
But it's definitely worth your time and effort. The first two turns are equal radius 180 degree sweepers that test your intestinal fortitude. 5a and b can be equally challenging, but 8/9/10... that's where you'll spend some time figuring things out. One transitioning into the other into the other.
Point being, it's a good mix of speed and technical. Streets is all technical, Big Willow is all speed (except for 3, which is why so many knuckle heads loose it there) I think Pahrump has done and excellent job of challenging a variety of skills.
Plus, the pavement's freakin clean and fresh and oh so lovely!
Just be careful of the tortoises! I saw one last time I was there. They bring the whole track to a stop.

I've been wanting to go there, maybe even for a winter or late spring track day. Maybe even a Keith Code class so I don't have to haul the bike.

That would be fun! I woulnd't want to do late spring though, I don't think. Doesn't the temp get up in the high 90's by then?

Hmm, I don't know.. Good question.
Also it's not in Vegas, it's much farther west right on the Cali border. Right? Pretty sure it is.

I agree completely. I had a great time there. It was easy to get yourself in rhythm. I like all aspects of it, the dip in 2, off camber slightly bumpy 4, and especially the tricky ultra fast downshift under heavy braking from 8 into 9 and 10.
I went with SoCal trackdays and the open session was pretty cool, bit scary because some of the guys out there are fast on a level that I'm not even close to approaching yet, but cool because you get a lot faster just being on the track with them.

Great track and fun. Far drive for me only worth it to do a whole weekend. Not just one day.
