Default Stolen Bike!!!! 01 Blue R6 ***UPDATE*** Has been recovered!

***UPDATE***

Bike has been recovered!
It was found in wheatridge.... 3 Suspects taken into custody for GTA!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I go to work this morning, get a text around 8 am from my Girlfriend asking if I rode today. I had drove my truck today. So I give her a call. She tells me when she left this morning she noticed my bike missing from the carport. I head home to take a look (she tends to be a sleepyhead in the morning) and sure as shit, my bike was gone! Yesterday I took it off the stands I borrowed from my friend and forgot to lock it back up to the post on the carport. Sorry for the long post but I have a couple questions. I called it in to the Arvada Police (I recently moved here to Arvada) and my insurance company this morning. If my bike ends up missing for good, What happens from here? I have full coverage insurance on it even though I own it outright.

If seen Call me ASAP @ 720-339-7731

Description: 2001 Blue r6 with a polished Micron Highmount.. Has slight rash on the right hand side on the upper fairing (near the headlight) Brand new Pilot Power 2ct's w/ 70 series front. Hole in mid faring right side for slider but no sliders on it . And Greggs flushmounts in white. Thety look like fried eggs. Also has intergrated blinkers.

Heres a pic from my camera phone from a few months ago

Now i need a new lockset and a wiring diagrahm.. BTW is it possible to hotwire one of these bikes without the lock turned to the "on" position? Trying to figure if they rode my bike outta here or if it was hauled away. I looked where it was parked and there was snippets of wire insulation laying where it was

GOOD NEWS, man! Most stolen bike posts don't get an update like that.

To answer your question, yes, you can hotwire if you know which wires to tie together. It's how you bypass the key. As long as they can break the steering lock they can easily ride it away.
