Default I rode the bike to work today

Crazy, I know.

What I learned
1) I'm fat and out of shape.
2) I don't feel nearly as comfortable on a bike as I used to.
3) FUN!

they don't arrest people for that. they'll arrest the bike.

I didn't have a choice, really. Girl's car is in the shop. She has my truck (I swear to god, if she scratches it...) so I had to ride the bike. Should only be for today. And of course it rains. Oh well, rain isn't so bad.

Riding to work is teh only way to go around here. Takes 20 minutes less to get to work vs. a car, and that is really without lanesplitting.

^ I miss lanesplitting...a lot.

I don't normally ride to work (or anywhere else) because my bike isn't street legal.

And of COURSE there were more than average cops out today. I kept my nose clean though, so no worries.

How is it faster w/o splitting lanes? I'm from Cali and all I do is split lanes going to work (in the carpool lane of course).

Are the cops out there pretty strict about lane splitting? I would hate to sit in traffic on a bike.

^ +1 they WILL get you for splitting lanes, so if you do it, do it with caution.

I learned to ride in CA, so believe me, I feel your pain (or the pain you'll be feeling soon).
