who wants to go pay a little visit to this kid I bought my r6 off of?

I bought it over a month ago and the title still isn't here he said the max was going to be ten days before his bank released the title well a week and ahalf after the ten days were up I emailed him asking what was up he said the title was in the mail and he would send it out over night as soon as he got it two more weeks pass and I message him asking wtf? he replies that he doesn't know but will find out. six more days after calling his house, emails, calling him and talking to his gf he messages me saying he sent it and had been in the hospitla for six days...4 dyas has passed since then and no title.

who wants to go trackc this dude down? ill pay you. if I see no title tomorrow im off to the secretay of state police. they'll send an officer over and make him surrender the title or he goes to jail. people like this really piss me off.

gave the dude the benifit of the doubt and waited until today. not title. got an e-mail from him saying the title is in the mail, and he can't control the usps on how long it takes. my aunt lives near his area...a letter from here takes two days to get here...it's been 5 days since said title was "sent". also stated in the e-mail that he won't answer my calls for the utter disrespect since he was "in the hospital" for 6 days. that doesn't account for the rest of the time if it is true. by the way this dude's a member on here...Aether is his name. i hope the secretary of state police can help me come monday, if not, i got boned big time.

Dude, I hope all works out for you in the end. I know the USPS is kinda messed up with timing. A few days before Thanksgiving I sent a package Priority mail to MD. Which should only take between 2-3 days to get there. It ended up taking a week to get there. It is also the holidays and mail gets jacked up even more around this time of year. Have you asked to have the contact info of the bank to see when the title was issued. They also say it will take X days and sometimes it takes a bit more. Please dont take this as I am defending the other guy. I am no way am.

oh no, i'm not gonna take it like that haha. you're just trying to point out things as to why i might not have seen it so i'm not flipping shit near as bad haha.

no but i did a sneaky little search through the DMV cause i have some connections there and they ran the VIN for me. it's in his name and it shows a lein on it. BUT, here's the thing. he could have paid it off and it will still show the lein is what my sources have told me. so all that means is that there has been a lein on the title, but doesn't show weather there still is or not.

my sources said, give him a bit longer (this was earlier in the week). if you see nothing by sat, go to the secretary of state police in ********* and bring the bill of sale that you guys wrote up, the canceled check, the vin number, and if at all possible the bike itself. they'll look at what is going on, and file a report. after that, they have a branch near where he is located. they will assign an SOS police officer to go pay him a visit at his place of residency and make him surrender the title. if he does not comply, he goes to jail.

the SOS was closed today, so come monday shit's going down. i'm tired of his excuses, i'm tired of his dodgin my calls and asking me not to spam his phone with calls and will only reply in e-mail. f-that, he'll get 1000 calls from me when there was this large amount of money involved and he's playing games.

i have a feeling he pocketed the money after cashing the check. he said he had been in an accident earlier in the year and had been having probs because of it. my guess, he took the money to pay off medical bills and is now jacking me around because he doesn't have the money to get the title released.

my stupid self should have just made the extra few hours to his credit union instead of meeting half way, that way i know the check was there, and i know that it went to that.

oh well, you live and you learn i guess.

It is pure principal behind my not returning you or your fathers calls. I made no promissory statements regarding an exact date for the title delivery and offered my best guess based upon information that I was provided with from the bank. When that yielded inaccurate, I made contact via email noting that I would, and did, follow through and contact the bank. Regretfully, a combination of improper initial information and procedural failure caused a delay in getting the title out. A circumstance out of my direct control.

When the title had arrived from the bank I was unfortunately hospitalized. My girlfriend contacted your father to tell him this, further updating the situation. Within 3 days after her talking to your father, my phone received another 9 calls while I was in the hospital. I have not returned a single one based on the complete and utter disrespect for a situation that left me physically unable to do anything. I then emailed yourself to let you know that the title was in the hands of the USPS. A situation which leaves me completely unable to do anything further.



I am going to respectfully request that you ask your father to stop spamming me with phone calls. At this point, the delivery times are completely out of my control as I cannot control the pace of the postal service and their delivery times. If another week goes by and they have still not delivered it, I will request a duplicate title from the secretary of state’s office. But please be aware until then I see no reason to answer the phone as my comments will almost directly mirror the above statements.



I apologize again that this was not as smooth as initially hoped, but the delays are an unfortunate yet uncontrollable situation.

Do you know how he sent it out? With the package I sent to MD, I called the post office and gave them some info, they where able to track the package and call me. Maybe try to give them a call and see if they can give you any info. Again good luck with everything, and I hope for both of your sakes it is just a miscommunication of timing.

He was SUPPOSED to OVERNIGHT it...but I guess he's being a ween cause I have "utter disrespect" for him and just sent it regular. Good idea though. I'll stop by the post office Monday on my way to the SOSP and ask if they can track it down, but I have a feeling it's just a game, and he hasn't sent it.

That line out of his e-mail makes me think that way.

And as do I hope that it's all a misunderstanding. I really just want my title, and over a month is not acceptable when begining terms/talk/follow up e-mails were stated different.

Usually when you pay off someone else lean, the credit union will send the title direcely to you. I have also seen where it has taken up to 30 days to get a title. But since he keeps saying that he had sent it out, somethign is fishy about all that

yea. the further i look into it, like i said, i shouldn't have just drove the two extra hours instead of meeting him halfway, took the check to the credit union, and things would have been fine and dandy. must be a pretty big pansy if he has to have his girlfriend call my dad letting him know the status of the title and can only return my calls by sending me an e-mail. i seriously hope the SOSP send this fucker to jail for a while, give me my title, then i sue his ass for the money i had tied up.
