Default Dyno Tuning in the Chicagoland Area

I would like to have my 05 R6 dynotuned and the speedo corrected. Anyone know of a good local shop?

I've been told DGY is the place to go.

The speedo can only be corrected by an add-on calibration mod, the most common of which is called a SpeedoHealer. CalSportbike.com sells them, I think.

dude DGY sucks! Worst service ever, I would never reffer anyone to them.

I'm not sure where to go for a dyno, but my stay away from dgy.

I believe there is a place up that way called Valley Racing, that was recommended to me by a particularly good control rider at a couple track days... Lemme see if I can look up a website for them or something.

Pretty sure that's who I was told to see, if I get over that way. Give 'em a call, see if they do tuning, and if they have the Tuning Link software. Lemme know what you find out...

I'll give them a try, thanks!

I called "Chicago Performance" and I was told the Yamaha's can't be tuned unless you have a power commander. Is this true?

I thought you could flash/re-map the stock computer.

Yeah, you have to have a Power Commander for any FI bike in order to tune it. Well, technically you can alter the map slightly without one, but it's not easy or effective. If you're going to be doing any real modifications to the bike, it'd be best to invest in a Power Commander.
