Default Marine base regs

To any of the Marines out there, can you post what your base regulation is for reflective vests? I couldn't find anything online for any of the bases. I looked at the Marine Corps uniform regs online and all it states is that it has to be reflective, like the black MSF vests. Personally I like those vests because I don't look like a CalTrans worker riding a bike. Right now I'm stationed on an Army base and all they require is a yellow PT belt draped over your jacket. I'll be leaving soon and was hoping some of you can shed some light. If you could post the actual order (Camp Pendleton, Camp Lejeune, etc) that states the reg that would be great because I'd like to get the black MSF vest and if someone challenges me on it I'd like to know where to reference it. I can't recall the actual order at this time, the best thing to do would be to get a hold of your base PMO because bases can make them more strict. 29 Palms follows the "brightly colored outer garment during daylight hours" with an "approved reflective vest during hours of reduced visibility". Again though your local PMO would have the best answers. I personally bought the Icon vest it actually has the orders for all branches written on the pocket and conforms to all requirements, unfortunately I'm in Pendleton right now at SNCOA so I can't look at my vest. Good luck, ride safe, and do me and the rest of your brothers a favor and don't ride like an a$$hole it only makes it easier for them to give us more rules to follow.

Yeah I figured that most of the bases have stricter rules than the uniform regs. I think I'm just going to go ahead and get one of those Icon vests. I understand the safety aspect of it, but I just can't stand the looks of it. And yes, out of all my buddies that ride I am the safest rider. They make fun of me, but I can give two shits. After two tours in Iraq, two beautiful kids and a beautiful wife, there's no way I would take any chances. I ride with full gear and enjoy the ride.....

here you go MCO 5100.19E...sorry but i hate that $hit wearing all that gear. you gotta have long sleeves, ankle cover boots, gloves, helmet, jeans. Basically like all your gear when your in iraq. I mean i wear the gloves, icon field armor vest, helmet, and jeans. but that other stuff it gets to hot i know its a shitty excuse but hey. i have the icon orange vest. you have to have an orange or green vest on. like the road gruads. or you can be like me and not ride on base at all. i have all the requirements to do so but i choose not too. And shit you'll die of a heat stroke in florida wearing all that stuff. or somewhere hot. have fun wit all them rules i believe there going to be stricter
