I have a very close personal friend leaving for Baghdad at the end of next month and that's one of the few places over there that I have yet to be. I was wondering if anyone could give me some word that I could pass to her that would make her stay there a little nicer.

I am just north of Baghdad right now as I type this and venture down there on an almost daily basis. I have been to every place that one can land a helicopter there and to many other places that are not designed for helicopter use as well. You tell me a location and I will tell you what you need to know.

I've made it to International Zone, Taji, Balad, Tikrit, Kirkuk, Mosul, Tallil, Basrah, Fallujah. Couldn't make it to Camp Echo though...too violent down there!!! Be safe brother!
Red Cross will more than likely be somewhere in the IZ. If not there then at BIAP. Neither place is that bad. If she has no reason to venture outside of the wire, advise her not to do it. Both of those places are as secure as you will find here. Both have plenty of amenities and he living conditions are decent.
Qtip... the only way you have flown with me is if you are hurt. You may have flown with our sister companies or the other Bn. I am not sure where you are at, but judging by the amount of places you are bouncing around to I have no idea what you do or who you work for. Be safe.

No offense Sinster, but just for that I'm going to tell her to stay the hell away from that whole area. By the way when you say Camp Hurricane do you mean the area the Marines used to own called Hurricane Point that the Brigade **** made us de-mil for 2 months so they could give it back to the Iraqi's only move their own people into it after we pulled out?
She's going to be at Camp Liberty, is that a decent area.
