Default I made an appt with a recruiter

For the coast guard hahaha

Spoke with a recruiter on the phone today, I want to do one of two things, either become a pilot or stay in my career field.... I told that to the guy and he starts tell me I might not have to go to OCS becuase of my degree, oh ya direct commission baby!!! 5 week "resident" course and next thing you know I'd be a zero

Well it's always been the idea since I've separated from the Marine Corps but I can't believe that it's already here, now lets see what the recruiter tells me.

SDr6... The only thing i would change about my flying career is who I do it with. I would take a kick square in teh balls to be able to switch services and fly HH-60J's in the Coast Guard. I see those dudes living the frigging dream every day when i am at home. They come in and land at the Savaannah Coast Guard Air Station (there are no -60's there, just a few HH-65's but they -60's do fly in quite often. If you were selected to attend their flight training program it is a good one as well. You do your primary training with the Navy at Pensacola I believe. Good luck man.

I'm defiantly looking into being a helicopter pilot.. the CG 60's and 65's are nice but I'm also looking at a cushy communications engineering job. I guess I'll know more about my options after I meet with the guy.. Also I'm going to set up something with an AF recruiter.. I think that will be a little more difficult but there is only one way to find out.

If you want me to hook you up with any CG pilots to talk to them about the career field let me know. I have a bunch of classmates from the academy who are now pilots of both the 65's and 60's. Shoot me a PM if you want.

thanks for the offer... I'm going to apply for two different tracks so depending on what I'm approved for I might take you up on the offer. I miss aviation a lot but the idea of having a 9-5 while in makes me happy to... what to do, what to do
