Basic training was the greatest thing ever. I would do it again in a heart beat

I always felt sorry for the poor bastard that had to wake the DI. He always got an ass chewing and got sent up to the quarterdeck to "grab some foam" Thank God I scammed out of that somehow.

God damn... The memories that brings up. Anybody remember the Snake Pit at AF basic? Yeah, I got ballsy one day and decided I was going to get some ice cream at chow... And forgot not to do facing movements with the bowl in my hands, right in front of the snake pit. My ears were ringing for like 5 hours.

Dude i got you beat...I was the water monitor and i rolled by the pit one day while tucking my flt cap...Some female tech started eating me, i stood there at attention...while still adjusting my cap ...Lets just say, within 2 seconds or so she was one of many TIs in my face and i got a 341 pulled......

Niiice. I was the guidon in my flight, and one day (third week?) forgot the ornament to the guide on my bunk. Didn't notice until the TI started screaming at me. I was standing there at attention, and he was in my face so close I could see the blood vessels in his eyes starting to get red. About 45 seconds into the ass chewing, he (probably intentionally) bumped into me, and since I was at attention, I fell like a tree. Never made it up 4 flights of stairs so fast in my life...
