Charity bicycle rides?

I know we have some Cali peeps here that are into riding road bikes. I recently got into road biking and was looking into doing a couple of charity rides. Chime in if you have some info on any charity rides in SoCal or atleast point me in the right direction on where to look for info on any.

Im a bit of a closet rodie...more of a Mt. Biker. I don't know of too many charity rides in the area. The LA Bike tour is always fun and is right before the LA Marathon....this Sunday. Most of the organizations, like TEAM, require you to raise money for a cause and then set out to accomplish a certain distance goal in the name of that cause (ie MS). In return they will train you and educate you on form, technique and nutrition. Team requires to raise a specific amount of money, $10,000, on your own. If the entire amount isnt raised, you are now responsible for the remainder. It is a great organization, but requires serious comitment. This is just one organization I'm familiar with and I'm sure thier are many more.
